Eagle Scout Candidate Builds a New Information Kiosk

Over the years, Lake James State Park has been the beneficiary of several Boy Scout and Girl Scout service projects. Recently, Eagle Scout candidate, Jacob Hanlon, completed the new information kiosk at the Paddy’s Creek Area drive-in campground. Jacob, along with help from several of his fellow Troop 197 members and adult consultants raised money for, designed and erected the structure that will allow for a smooth transfer of information to thousands of campers that use the facility annually.
