The Eagles of Lake James
The eagles of Lake James have been frequenting the Paddy’s Creek Area during the past month and many park visitors have been telling us about up-close encounters with these magnificent birds of prey. Back in February, Rafael Ruiz, of Marion, took this fantastic photograph of an adult bald eagle as it left its perch near the Paddy’s Creek Area fishing pier. Early morning seems to be the best time to see these birds as they venture from the nest in search of fish.
